Voting is important! Play your part

The Ontario election is scheduled for June 2^nd. It’s every citizen’s right to vote and it’s an important part of the democratic process for you to have your say.

During the pandemic, the postal service has been playing a growing role in our elections. The option to vote by mail is a safe and secure way to get your ballot into the box and it’s an honour for CUPW members to play such an important role in this process.

To get ready for election day, you can visit the Ontario Election website at elections.on.ca. There you will be able to check if you are on the voters list already, find out your polling location if you want to vote in person, or request that a ballot be mailed to you.

You can also do more than just voting in an election. Volunteering, taking a sign, and donating money are all vital ways to get involved in the election process. Contact your local candidates to see how you can get involved. If you’d rather help out with the election process, Elections Ontario hires staff to run the election in each riding and was still looking to fill positions as of the writing of this bulletin.
