Statement
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers grieves that the employer has violated Article 12 and other relevant portions of the Rural and Suburban Mail Carriers Collective Agreement in that it is failing to give priority consideration to candidates from eligibility lists when it is applying the external hiring process.
Corrective Steps Requested
That Canada Post give priority consideration to candidates from eligibility lists when filling vacant routes pursuant to clause 12.08 and that other appropriate remedies be granted.
