Statement
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers grieves that the employer's decision to discontinue the monotainer repair operations in Winnipeg, Montreal and Toronto, as stipulated in a letter dated December 30, 2004 is in violation of Appendix "T" and other applicable provisions of the Urban Operations collective agreement.
Corrective Steps Requested
That the employer correctly apply the provisions of Appendix "T", that its decision to discontinue having monotainer repair performed by employees covered by the Urban Operations collective agreement be rescinded, that employees affected by this employer decision be made whole and that other applicable remedies be granted.
