Update to Life Insurance Booklet

We have been informed that the CUPW Life Insurance Plan booklet contains inaccurate information.

Free Basic Coverage

The “Free Basic Coverage” chart on page 10 of the booklet states that the basic spousal insurance is $8,000. The correct amount is $6,000.

The basic life insurance coverage for children is $4,000. The chart indicates $3,000.

These updated changes in coverage have been in effect since January 1, 2020. They are automatically applied to your policy.

Basic life insurance is an important value-added benefit of CUPW membership. It provides a basic level of life insurance coverage for you, our member.

The CUPW Insurance Trust Fund provides this life insurance to you, free of charge.

To receive these benefits, you must be a Member In Good Standing (MIGS). To confirm your membership status, please contact your Local.
